Dogs

Okay, here are more pictures of my dog!!! :) But I've also included a picture of another dog we met at the dog park. I wish that I could remember his name, but alas, it escapes me.

I hope that everyone has a great weekend & if it's a long one, that you have an even greater time.

Flowers

So, as I mentioned, I went out and took some pictures this weekend, and focused my efforts on flowers, because flowers are pretty.

I will be posting today and hopefully again tomorrow, but then I will be taking a break for the long weekend. I will be taking lots of pictures, but not posting. I pray that my adoring fans will forgive me. (ah ha!)

So for now, enjoy the pretty flowers of the summer.

Rock Band

I'm going out to take some pictures today, but I thought in the meantime I would show you my other major talent - rock band... ah yes... Rock Band - how I love thee... makes talentless people seem adequate! :)

This weekend I was rocking my own band (me on guitar and vocals). I am amazing - that's all I'll say.

Restoration Project

So, I realized that I have yet to upload my final restoration project from my photoshop class. Turns out I got 100% on it... that is not to say that it is flawless, but that I was able to obtain perfect marks in night classes.

This is a picture of my Nanny (Beatrice Larmour). She passed away many years ago, when I was not yet a teenager. We were quite close. She is 16 years old in this picture.

It was much easier to fix once the teacher showed us the patch tool.

Where I Dwell - The Forgotten Pictures

Okay, as I mentioned in the last post, there were a couple pictures I forgot to post. I think they are mostly B & W photos.

Here they are. I should also probably note that the last one with the green chairs, isn't my apartment building. Its the building across the street from where I live. I just thought it was a nice picture.

Today I'm going to meet with a realtor, so there is a pretty good chance, that soon (within the next year) this will no longer be where I dwell. That is of course, if there is anything we can afford in Toronto.... we'll see.

Where I Dwell - Part 3

Alright, the last installment (though, I realized there are a few more B&W pics I'll probably post from the same photog session later).

These photos are my most experimental. I used a slow shutter speed to play with light. In some pictures, the camera is steady for the entire duration of the open shutter, in others, the camera moved around.

Hopefully you enjoy these ones. I haven't done anything that hasn't been done before, only things that are new to me. Its funny, I remember seeing pictures like these in the past thinking, wow that's so cool, it must take major talent to do that! But in reality its so easy. Pick you shutter speed and aperture and then hit the shutter release button. Great fun though! I suggest others try it out.

Where I Dwell - Part 2

Well, in my second volume of "Where I Dwell" I have decided to focus on movement. Most of the pictures are a result of panning. I had attempted panning once before with a picture of a dog running, but this was my first time panning with the use of a tripod. I would say that it works much, much better, but I've still got a lot of practice to do. You will note that I'm not great at getting the moving object to end up in an ideal place in the frame.

Where I Dwell - Part 1

So, last night I took the old cameroon and tripod out across the street to get some pictures of the apartment so that I'll always have a picture of the first home Curtis and I shared. This is the first of a three part series ... serious business.

In this first set of photogs you'll see pictures of my apartment building. I like it. It is a very nice place to live. The other two series are more experimental in nature... but you'll just have to come back to see them.

I hope you enjoy these first ones.

The cottage life's for me!

I know, I know, you're sick of all m cottage pictures! These are the last of them: my nature shots. Don't get upset, soon enough you'll have something different... well, it'll probably be more of the dog, but, maybe, just maybe I'll surprise you with something else even less exciting!

Dimi Loves Baseball

So, as you know, we went to the cottage last weekend. Dimi didn't have any toys with her, so one of the family members graciously let her play with his baseball - under the assumption that there was no way she could destroy it (which turned out to be true). Here are a few pictures I took of my beloved De Minimis Maximus, pooch extraordinaire.

I know, I know... I'm way too crazy about my dog.
